With more than 25 years of industry experience, our Finance Director Darren is integral to the long-term stability of Midas.
An AAT and CIMA qualified accountant, Darren initially started out as a footballer, with spells at both Southampton and Stoke as a schoolboy and apprentice respectively. It was during his stay at the latter where Darren found particular success, facing off with the likes of Gary Neville, Nicky Butt, and Paul Scholes, and lifting the Midland Youth Cup in two consecutive years.
Darren stepped away from football in his early twenties to enter the accounting industry, where he has since gained invaluable experience whilst working for a number of blue-chip companies.
After seven years as Head of Finance at a global PR company, Darren decided to blend his accounting expertise and football knowledge by returning to the game, and has remained a key member of the Midas team ever since.
