Stockport County striker Kyle Wootton has been named the top scorer by headers across all 92 professional clubs in England.

It’s an incredible achievement and a testament to his skill in the air, making him one of League One’s most dangerous forwards.

A striker making an impact

Wootton joined Stockport in June 2022, becoming the club’s first signing following their return to the Football League after a 12-year absence. Since then, he has become a key figure for the team, making 170 appearances and scoring 54 goals and 28 assists.

This season alone, he has made 32 appearances, scored 16 times, with 5 assists. His record shows a player who is clinical inside the box, with 15 of his goals scored there and one from outside.

Notably, 8 of his goals have come from headers, highlighting his dominance in aerial battles. He has scored 5 with his right foot and 3 with his left, underlining his versatility in attack.
